Alisa wins the Shira Hanani Memorial Award

Congrats to Alisa for winning the Shira Hanani Memorial Award! The prize was granted to Alisa for her MA thesis that focused on the role of maternal attention directing strategies in the development of infants' joint attention skills.  The prize was established in 2007 in memory of Shira Hanani, a first year Masters student in Psychology at BGU who tragically died of illness. Her thesis, which she was not able to complete, was in developmental psychology. This is a very exciting event in our lab, since the first recipient of the prize was Dr. Noa Gueron-Sela, our lab PI. The Hanani family stays in touch with all recipients of the prize throughout the years. Many of them make an effort to attend the bi-annual ceremony at the Department of Psychology, thus creating a small family of their own in memory of Shira.
